Challenges toward Agriculture of Next Generation

Agriculture is an eternally on-going industry providing “the food” which is indispensable for our lives and health.

In this 21st century of “Food and Environment”, the key issue for the Japanese nation is to secure the constant supply of food, by developing sustainable agricuture to provide safe food, harmonizing with the environment.

Having made remarkable progress of internationalization, globalization of intelligence,declining birth rate, aging society,and changing sense of value, Japanese agriculture has come into the time of reforming. thus the needs and expectation of the machinery which enable to make better productivity, to pursue food safety and envitonment protection has been increasing year by year.

Therefore, the machinery show has been held every four years at “Tokachi(=Obihiro)”, which is one of the major food supply bases in Japan, to provide the resources for the latest machinery, high technology and information as well as new generation of environmentally friendly agriculture with a strong belief that “Agricultural Machinery will develop tomorrow's Global Agriculture”.

We hereby proudly present “International Agricultural Machinery Show in Obihiro” which leads to new challenges towards agriculture of next generation by building more on the scale and quality that we have successfully achieved.
